Greece is one of the oldest wine-producing regions in the world and the first wine-producing territory in Europe. The earliest evidence of Greek wine has been dated to 6,500 years ago where wine was produced on a household or communal basis. In ancient times, as trade in wine became extensive, it was transported from end to end of the Mediterranean. Greek wine had especially high prestige in Italy under the Roman Empire. In the medieval period, wines exported from Crete, Monemvasia and other Greek ports fetched high prices in northern Europe.

Day 1: Meeting – Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki is one of the world’s eternal cities, having enjoyed an urban existence from Classical Greece onwards, through Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine eras onto the resent.
Today is a major Balkan city, having always belonged both to the East and toEurope. On the slopes of Epanomi, a few kilometres from the city of Thessaloniki, a meticulously-tended vineyard surrounds the modern winery, where the renowned Domain Gerovassiliou wines are produced.
Return to Thessaloniki for some great food, free time and overnight stay.
Day 2: Thessaloniki
Breakfast and a day dedicated to Thessaloniki and its unparallel cultural heritage. We will visit the White Tower, the Archaeological & Byzantine Museum, the City Walls (Triangular, Eptapirgio, Acropolis), the Ancient Market , Galerios’ Arch, the Rotonda and a variety of Byzantine temples in Thessaloniki including St.Dimitrios. After a long day full of culture and history we return for some well deserved rest to our hotel. Free time, dinner & overnight stay.
Day 3: Thessaloniki – Halkidiki
After breakfast we shoot off to Halkidiki and straight to the cave of Petralona, where the oldest human skeleton in Europe was found. Moving on we will visit the Tsantali Winery, one of the largest in Greece and with 125 years of tradition produces wines that are exported in 55 different countries around the globe. Back on the bus and we go to Kallithea for some food and a stroll. Overnight stay at Poligyros the capital of Halkidiki. Free time & dinner.
Day 4: Halkidiki - Sithonia
After breakfast,we will do a half-day tour of Sithonia peninsula.
Sithonia looks like a typical Greek island. We will make a complete the tour of Sithonia and stop in two of the most famous sea-side resorts, Sarti and Neos Marmaras. Food, sightseeing and return…
Halkidiki has two tourism high-developed island-like peninsulas, namely Kassandra and Sithonia. It is a family-friendly destination combining evergreen forests with unique sandy and rocky beaches.

The largest and most important monastic state in the Orthodox East is also named ‘the garden of the Virgin Mary’. The monastic state of Athos, which occupies the easternmost, wildest ‘leg’ of the three-pronged Halkidiki peninsula, Mount Athos is the second-most important religious place of pilgrimage, after Jerusalem, for the more than 300 million Orthodox Christians worldwide.
Now hosting 20 monasteries, Mount Athos forms an autonomous region within the Greek state, while spiritually it falls under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Although it is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, all females are forbidden entry. But any adult may visit the Holy Mountain, regardless of faith or nationality, simply by obtaining a Diamonitirion or residence permit.

Skiathos - Skopelos - Alonnisos
Skiathos is famous for the golden beaches, the green nature and the vivid atmosphere, Skiathos Greece is a favourite destination for both youth and families.
